Nashoba Youth Football & Cheer (NYFC) includes children living in the towns of Lancaster, Bolton, Stow and Harvard. The teams will be established and the coaches will then contact the players to have everyone on the field to go through evaluations and conditioning.
All players should be staying in shape over the summer by running, stretching and doing push-ups and sit-ups at minimum. And make sure to toss around the footballs too!
NYFC, as of 2005, is a member of the Central Massachusetts Youth Football & Cheer Conference (CMYFCC). CMYFCC includes many of our neighboring towns and traditional rivals, such as: Clinton, Hudson, Ayer-Shirley, Marlboro, Maynard, Charlton-Dudley and Westford-Littleton. We are also excited that many other towns in our area are continuing to join and expand our conference over the past years.
NYFC will participate in a Conference Jamboree. The Jamboree and official season weigh-in will be scheduled after signups are completed, the team rosters have been established and CMYFCC has issued the season schedule. For the Jamboree, is is customary for each team to play 2 - 20 minute running clock periods on a 40 yard field against other teams to warm up for the regular season.
The current regular season will start during the end of August or early September. Regular season games will likely continue into the first part of November. The final schedule will probably be set by CMYFCC sometime in August and will be posted on this site as soon as available.
The fortunate teams able to qualify for conference play-offs will play in November and early December. Conference champions for each age range will then play in a Regional competition at a location to be determined.
