2020 Season start dateUpdatedWednesday July 22, 2020 bySusan Unger.
Hello Maynard Nashoba families!
Thank you to all our football and cheer families for your patience and support as we navigate these unprecedented times together. MYF and NYFC are committed to providing the safest experience possible, and especially during the COVID pandemic.
As you know, all youth sports are subject to strict regulations passed down from Governor Charlie Baker to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), to the American Youth Football Association (AYF), to Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA), to Central Massachusetts Youth Football and Cheer Association Executive Board (CMYFCC), and finally, to Associations such as ours. The guidelines are continuously changing, and all of us at MYF and NYFC remain committed to protecting our athletes and coaches in the safest way possible.
We have a few updates to share:
CMYFCC will be delivering updated COVID guidelines which I will share with everyone once it’s adopted by both Board of Directors. All athletes, coaches, parents, and family members must adhere to these very strict guidelines.
CMYFCC has decided to delay the official start of the season to August 22. This means that there will be no formal team practices starting up on August 3.
Maynard Nashoba Youth Football and Cheer is hoping to offer some exciting conditioning and skills clinics during August that will adhere to the COVID Guidelines. These optional clinics will provide opportunities for our athletes to work together in a safe non-contact environment while conditioning and learning the sport of football. Please keep an eye out on the facebook pages and your emails for updates.
We look forward to seeing all our athletes on the field having fun very soon!
